Hibernate Mode on your PC
Many people have a desktop computer (or two or more) at home, some of those people also leave it running every day all day. Have you ever stopped to think about what that actually costs on your electric bill? Given that electricity costs about $0.11 per kWh in the US, the average home PC, if on 24 hours a day 7 days a week would cost the homeowner over $200? A 'high end gaming machine' can cost over $400 per year due to the additional electricity needed for high end video cards and screens! |
